Foods High In Sodium

The National Kidney Foundation recommends that healthy persons limit their sodium intake to no more than 2,300 mg per day.
Foods High In Potassium
Potassium is another dietary mineral. Patients with CKD may need to decrease their potassium consumption due to impaired kidney function.
A person with CKD should limit their potassium intake to 2,000 mg per day. Fruits are generally nutritious and full of vitamins.
Foods High In Phosphorus
Phosphorus is a mineral that can be found in bones. It is necessary for the body’s health, but excessive amounts can be harmful.
The average person should limit their phosphorus intake to 700 mg per day. Phosphorus is used in dark-colored sodas to avoid discoloration, extend shelf life, and add flavor.
